1.4 Decimals
Decimals are numbers that have a whole number part and a fractional part separated by a decimal point.
For example, 34.7 is a decimal number.
1.4.1 Place Value and Total Value in Decimals
The number 35.69742 can be placed on a place value chart as follows:
